Cookie policy
How we use cookies
Which cookies hishoo.me uses, why, for how long, who receives the data, and how you can change your mind at any time.
Your choice on this device
Only necessary cookies are in use until you choose.
01Who is responsible
The controller of personal data processed through cookies on hishoo.me is Hishoo Prosta Spółka Akcyjna (Hishoo P.S.A.), ul. Żniwna 15A, 81-586 Gdynia, Poland, entered in the National Court Register (KRS) under number 0000921725, NIP 5842808538.
For anything about cookies or your data, write to wm@hishoo.me.
02What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a website stores in your browser and reads back later. Similar technologies, such as local storage or tracking pixels, work in a comparable way; this policy covers them too and calls them all “cookies”.
First-party cookies are set under our own domain, hishoo.me; third-party cookies are set under another company’s domain. Session cookies disappear when you close the browser; persistent cookies stay for a set period or until you delete them.
04Google Analytics
If you allow analytics, we load Google Analytics 4, a service provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland, which processes the data on our behalf. Until you decide, no Google Analytics code is loaded at all: we use Google Consent Mode in its “basic” form, which starts every visit with all Google storage denied.
What is collected: pages viewed and time spent, how you reached the site, approximate location (country or city, derived from your IP address), device type, browser and operating system, and the random identifier stored in the _ga cookies. Google Analytics 4 does not log or store the IP addresses of visitors in the EU. We have turned off Google signals and ad personalisation, and we do not use analytics data to identify you or combine it with other data about you.
How long: event-level data is kept in Google Analytics for no longer than 14 months and then deleted automatically.
Transfers outside the EEA: Google may process the data in the United States. Google LLC is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, for which the European Commission adopted an adequacy decision on 10 July 2023 (Art. 45 GDPR); where needed, Google also relies on the Standard Contractual Clauses (Art. 46 GDPR).

05Legal basis
Storing and reading cookies on your device is governed by Art. 399 of the Polish Electronic Communications Law (ustawa – Prawo komunikacji elektronicznej, Journal of Laws 2024, item 1221), which replaced Art. 173 of the Telecommunications Law (Prawo telekomunikacyjne) and implements Art. 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive 2002/58/EC. We use analytics (and any future marketing) cookies only with your prior consent; strictly necessary cookies are exempt from consent under the same provisions.
Personal data collected through analytics cookies is processed on the basis of your consent, Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR.
The record of your choice (hishoo_consent) is processed to meet our obligation to be able to demonstrate consent, Art. 6(1)(c) in conjunction with Art. 7(1) GDPR, and in our legitimate interest in running a working website, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.
06Your choices
Consent is voluntary. Rejecting optional cookies does not limit anything on this site, and rejecting is as easy as accepting.
Change or withdraw consent at any time with the Cookie settings button at the top of this page or in the footer of every page. Withdrawing does not affect the lawfulness of processing before it (Art. 7(3) GDPR). When you withdraw, we delete the analytics cookies stored under hishoo.me.
We keep your choice for 12 months. After that, or when we change the cookies we use, we ask you again.
Global Privacy Control: if your browser sends a GPC signal, we treat it as a refusal of marketing cookies; marketing stays off unless you switch it on yourself.
Browser settings: you can also block or delete cookies in your browser. If you block all cookies, we cannot remember your choice and the banner will appear on every visit.
07Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access your data, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict its processing, to data portability, and to object to processing based on our legitimate interest. Analytics data is pseudonymous, so to find your data we may need information from you, such as the identifier in your _ga cookie (Art. 11 GDPR). Write to wm@hishoo.me.
You can also lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority: the President of the Personal Data Protection Office (Prezes Urzędu Ochrony Danych Osobowych), ul. Stawki 2, 00-193 Warszawa, Poland, uodo.gov.pl.
08Other services
Fonts. The Inter, Instrument Serif and Fragment Mono typefaces are hosted on hishoo.me itself. Loading them sends no request to any third party and sets no cookies.
Social links. The links to LinkedIn, Facebook and YouTube are plain links. Those services set their own cookies only when you visit them, under their own policies.
How we process personal data in general is described in our privacy policy (PDF, Polish) and the web privacy policy.
09Changes and contact
We update this policy whenever the cookies we use change; the date at the top shows the current version. If a change needs your consent, the banner will ask you again.
